Well, here we are, my first Waiting on Wednesday post. And it’s for Zoraida Córdova‘s Labyrinth Lost.
If you follow me on Twitter, and you’re reading this blog post, then you know I love books. Well, I recently read Labyrinth Lost, and I loved it. Not only is the main character Latina, but Córdova folds together contemporary society and different myths, along with brujeria magic to create an interesting story line and fantastical world.
Now, technically I’m not “waiting” for it, because I’ve already read it, but I am waiting for it to release in September, because I can’t wait for more people to read it, including my students. The best part about this book is that my students will see themselves—and their history and traditions—in it. I know they will love it as much as I do.
“Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly blog post feature hosted by Breaking the Spine where bloggers can showcase books that we are eagerly waiting for.
I love this book’s cover! It sounds intriguing. I’ve not read a book by this author, so this would be a first. I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!
Have a fantastic week. 🙂
Check out my WoW post!
Huh. I hadn’t heard of this one. Sounds cool and that cover is awesome! 😀
