Waiting on Wednesday—Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova

Well, here we are, my first Waiting on Wednesday post. And it’s for Zoraida Córdova‘s Labyrinth Lost.

Waiting on Wednesday pictureIf you follow me on Twitter, and you’re reading this blog post, then you know I love books. Well, I recently read Labyrinth Lost, and I loved it. Not only is the main character Latina, but Córdova folds together contemporary society and different myths, along with brujeria magic to create an interesting story line and fantastical world.

Now, technically I’m not “waiting” for it, because I’ve already read it, but I am waiting for it to release in September, because I can’t wait for more people to read it, including my students. The best part about this book is that my students will see themselves—and their history and traditions—in it. I know they will love it as much as I do.

Labyrinth Lost “Waiting On Wednesday” is a weekly blog post feature hosted by Breaking the Spine where bloggers can showcase books that we are eagerly waiting for.
